A few days ago, the very best Swiss StarCraft II players battled for a spot in the IeSF World Championship in Korea. In a stacked competition, Dead Pixels’ Elroye fought his way to Seoul!
The online qualifier gathered the 8 invited players, among which many represent Swiss structures, such as Romandy Gaming and mYinsanity. In his group stage, Elroye successively defeated BreakYa (2-0) and Zervas (2-1), whose recent results (top 2 SwitzerLAN), had made him a serious candidate for the final win.
In semis, Elroye took a difficult win against Tomahawk (2-1) before letting experience talk against Mamba (3-0). We are very happy about Elroye’s performance, which proves once again that Switzerland can count on him. While we look forward to following him at the IeSF World Championship, let’s hear some words from the winner of the day:
“I’m happy I could pass through this Swiss qualifier. I’m feeling like my mindset has improved a lot since few weeks; I was putting a lot of pressure on myself, but now I’m feeling a little bit more calm while playing tournaments. I will do my best to represent Switzerland at the IesF World Championship!”
The IeSF World Championship will be held in Seoul, Korea, 2-5 December.
